A Long Island, N.Y., town is at odds with a developer who officials say didn't continuously bond his work on two Little League fields, which some allege are substandard. The developer has written a $125,000 check to Islip, N.Y., in lieu of a new bond, and attorneys say he has provided proof of bonding for a subcontractor's work after the town threatened to default his contract.
