Global Eagle Entertainment has announced an expansion of its partnership with flydubai in which GEE will equip flydubai's Boeing 737-800 fleet with connectivity services. Twenty-one jets in the Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800 fleet have business-class seats with AC power outlets. "Over the next few years all of our Boeing 737s will be fitted with in-seat power," said Virgin Australia spokesman Luke O'Donnell.
Air France added business-class seats last year, an experience intended to offer refinement and country-specific touches. Such travelers are granted access to 50 Air France lounges and 450 other lounges.
Virgin Australia will no longer sell business-class seats on its older 737-700 aircraft due to customer complaints that the experience did not match up to the one on the airline's newer 737-800 aircraft. The seats will now be sold as economy, and passengers who have already paid business-class fares on those seats will receive rebates.
