Comcast, Cox and Time Warner Cable are among the cable operators trying to make their video services more attractive to customers by offering high-tech programming guides with personalized recommendations.
"We certainly like to provide our customers more value," said Stephen Necessary, vice president of video product development and management at Cox. "If we do, it is going to be harder for them to change. And it will make us more successful in acquiring new customers and more successful in retaining them."
