A larger problem is that data security needs to be a holistic, companywide endeavor, not limited to one department, Brenner says.
The average annual salary for management accountants increased by $3,624, or 3.3%, last year compared with 2011, to $112,625, according to the Institute of Management Accountants. Professionals with certifications, advanced degrees and more experience drove the increase.
