Median CFO compensation last year had risen 6% since 2010 and 18.75% since 2006, according to the 2013 CFO Incentives
and Compensation Survey
, released by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Arizona State University. CFOs who think bonuses are awarded subjectively, a practice that tends to occur more at smaller, private companies, are less likely to be happy with compensation, according to the survey.
