W.P. Carey has acquired TW Telecom’s national operations center in Denver, paying about $40 million for the 161,000-square-foot office building. Denver United was the seller. TW Telecom has signed a long-term lease for the space.
Akron, Ohio, city officials revealed plans to convert the historic Greystone Hall building in the downtown area to a 160-room hotel. The hotel is expected to serve demand generated by the John S. Knight convention center across the street.
DDR Corp. has acquired a retail center in the Dallas area for $40 million. The 400,000-square-foot Marketplace at Highland Village is 90% occupied by tenants that include Wal-Mart, T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Petco, LA Fitness and Office Depot.
