The 469-foot-tall Wabash Building at Roosevelt University in Chicago needed to fit in a constrained space and accommodate offices, classrooms and labs, dorms and dining areas as well as recreational space. VOA Associates selected precast concrete as the facade of lower floor "servant spaces" as well as the spine of the $123 million building. The LEED Gold-certified tower is now the second-highest university building in the U.S. and the sixth-highest in the world.
