The House Armed Services Committee has given its approval to a defense spending measure that would provide $614 million for military and civilian construction projects and infrastructure improvements on Guam. Among the proposed fiscal 2014 expenditures are $85.6 million for a Marine Corps hangar at Andersen Air Force Base and $119.4 million for infrastructure. The bill faces an uncertain future in the Senate if it passes the full House.
