The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute said it is refocusing how it develops clinical practice guidelines and will follow a collaborative, partnership model, according to a report in Circulation and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Five integrated cardiovascular guidelines will be released as evidentiary reviews, and the agency will work with other groups on related clinical guidelines. "When multiple stakeholders work together collaboratively, there is a much greater likelihood of high-quality products, products that reflect diverse perspectives, philosophies, and expertise," the report states.
