When Boston bakery owner Joanne Chang hosts summer dinner parties she opts for simple, no-bake options such as homemade sorbets or fruit folded into whipped cream and topped with crumbled cookies.
"You don't want to feel weighted down," she said. "Something that's really rich and sweet is best for the fall and winter. Highlight the fruits of the season. The best thing about summer is the multitude of fruit you have -- berries, stone fruits, they're all great either as main ingredients or additions."
