Installed wind power capacity worldwide will top more than 300 gigawatts by the end of 2013, equal to 114 nuclear reactors, according to the European Wind Energy Association and the Global Wind Energy Council. The projected increase is modest compared to a year ago, when global capacity stood at more than 280 GW, industry data showed. Europe still leads the world in wind power, but growth in the region has slowed due to the economic downturn, the data showed.
