Findings published in the journal Value in Health indicate Americans consider diagnostic tests important in limiting the need for invasive medical procedures and reducing costs. The study reviewed 66 studies that focused on medical tests, including imaging. The findings support previous research from Siemens that found 78% of people would agree to undergo a diagnostic test even if no treatment was available.
