The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has updated its guidelines on prenatal and perinatal HIV testing, emphasizing early diagnosis and treatment. Women with fibroid tumors did not show higher risk of adverse obstetric outcomes in twin pregnancies than those without tumors, according to a study in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. "Screening strategies that are already in place for women with twin pregnancies do not need to be altered based on the presence or absence of fibroid tumors," researchers said.
