Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., introduced legislation that would require food products containing bisphenol A to include clear labeling that informs consumers that they contain the endocrine-disrupting chemical. Feinstein said the bill, which also calls on the Department of Health and Human Services to study the safety of food packaging that uses BPA, is meant to help consumers make more informed decisions when purchasing food products.
