The use of meditation in schools to help students -- and their teachers -- cope with stress and other pressures is being championed by more academics and educational charities, writes Andrew Jones, head of religious studies and sociology at a Goffs School in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire. In this commentary, Jones notes that his school has set aside "quiet time," in which students take between 10 and 15 minutes to meditate, reflect on their day or rest.
