Four in 10 employees say they could be more productive if their pay was connected in some way to their companies' performance, according to a study by Kelly Services. A minority of respondents said they thought they were receiving fair compensation for their work, the study found. "Performance-based incentive plans can be a win-win situation," said Steve Armstrong, Kelly's general manager of U.S. operations. "Employees can benefit from the opportunity to work smarter and raise their earnings capacity, while employers benefit from increased productivity and a more engaged workforce."
