PMA's Australia-New Zealand Fresh Connections 2013 event in Sydney kicked off with tours of the produce sections of several retailers, starting with high-end local market Norton St Grocer. The market's fruits and vegetables are largely locally grown, with the exception of garlic, a seasonal crop that's imported year-round, said store manager Jon Doumbos. Attendees also made stops at Woolworths and Woolworths-owned produce chain Thomas Dux.
