A $1 billion highway upgrade project in Texas is scheduled to be completed in mid-September, about a year ahead of schedule. The Dallas-Fort Worth Connector project aims to improve the State Highway 114/121 corridor by expanding and redesigning "two interchanges and portions of four highways in addition to building 39 bridges and more than 100 retaining walls." The project is being constructed by NorthGate Constructors, a Kiewit Texas Construction-led joint venture with Zachry Construction.
