Time Warner Cable by mid-July is slated to launch 1,000 Wi-Fi hot spots in Manhattan, as part of a push to expand its Wi-Fi network by 10,000 access points in the four New York boroughs it represents. Time Warner Cable, which currently provides more than 1,700 hot spots in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, also will offer free connections for all of its New York access points during Major League Baseball's All-Star Week.
