Fresh fruit prices at the supermarket are on track to rise between 3% and 4% this year and vegetables will sell for as much as 5% more at the store, according to the Agriculture Department's Economic Research Service. The forecast for moderate inflation comes after a scant 1% rise in fruit prices and a 5.1% drop in fresh vegetable prices in 2012, the report says.
