Men accounted for 40% of melanoma diagnoses but more than 63% of melanoma-related deaths between 1989 and 2009, according to data on 26,000 white people aged 15 to 39, according to a study in the journal JAMA Dermatology. The risk of dying from melanoma was 55% greater in men than in women, researchers said.
