Broadcast networks in Q2 tallied 16% growth in ad revenue, compared with the same period in 2012, Standard Media Index is reporting. CBS scored a 27% jump for the period and Univision a 28% increase, followed by ABC, with 19% growth; NBC, up 13%; and Fox, 8%. The strong ad performance helped put the networks ahead by 5% for the first six months of 2013, compared with last year, and made up for a 5% dip in ad revenues in Q1.
