Delft University's entry in this year's World Solar Challenge car race, the Nuna7, has a top speed of nearly 115 mph and marks some significant technological changes from the school's previous prize winners in the Australian race. The Delft team, based in the Netherlands, has drawn on a range of disciplines for the latest entry, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace, industrial design, applied physics and applied mathematics.
