DuPont is considering unloading its performance-chemicals business as the company moves to focus its portfolio on "higher growth" and "less cyclical" units. The business includes a titanium dioxide brand and its Teflon-labeled fluoropolymer. "DuPont's consideration of strategic alternatives ... may include a full or partial separation of each of these businesses from the company through a spin-off, sale or other transaction," the company said.
