Only eight of 32 children with milk allergies remained symptom-free three to five years after completing oral immunotherapy, a treatment that slowly increases milk intake, a U.S. study showed. Of the patients, 12 had frequent allergy symptoms and six experienced severe reactions to milk. The findings appear on the website of the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
