A pregnant woman's anxiety levels could be lowered by eating fish, possibly reducing the risk of premature birth or low birth weight, according to a study involving more than 9,500 patients and reported in the journal PLOS One by researchers at the Federal University of Pelotas in Brazil. Scientists found that women who rarely ate oily fish were more likely to have high stress levels in late pregnancy.
