A partnership between the Florida chapter of the Golf Course Superintendents Association and the state government has created a best management practices manual designed to lessen courses' impact on the environment.
"The golf course best management practices program takes the practices we already do but it quantifies them and sets them up to protect water quality and resources in Florida, on your consumption side and your input side. It's good practice for any business," says Joel Jackson, certified golf course superintendent.
