Demand increases for high-speed Internet service combined with improving consumer perception of satellite broadband has prompted Hughes Network Systems and ViaSat to change their business models to become more service-oriented, the companies say. ViaSat's Lisa Scalpone said, "Offering a great product was the most important thing in changing the perception of satellite."
