Principal Peter DeWitt in this blog post writes about the "consultant fatigue" experienced by many educators and school leaders since the launch of such initiatives as Race to the Top and the Common Core State Standards. As schools struggle to identify those consultants and nonprofits that may help change them for the better, DeWitt writes that consultants must take steps to show their worth, such as identifying why their product or strategy is a game-changer. "At this point in time, schools need to be savvy with their money because there is less of it to use," he writes.
