The International Baccalaureate programme has become increasingly popular in the Asia-Pacific region -- with a 55% increase in schools offering the programme since 2008. That mirrors similar growth worldwide, with Africa, Europe and the Middle East reporting a 34% increase, and Latin America, North America and the Caribbean reporting a 28% increase. In Hong Kong, which has expanded its IB offerings, students and teachers say the programme is popular among students who are interested in studying abroad.
