A lawsuit against Anadarko Petroleum alleging the misleading of shareholders about accountability over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill must be faced by the company, U.S. District Judge Keith Ellison ruled. The lawsuit should cover only a single statement made by Robert Daniels, Anadarko's executive vice president of international and deepwater exploration, about the Macondo well, Ellison said. "The well design and procedures, operations procedures were all done before we actually farmed in," Daniels said, according to the judge's ruling.
