The greatest cybersecurity threat the U.S. faces involves its power grid, as foreign hackers who target it could devastate the economy and knock out electricity for huge swaths of the population, experts say. "The modernization of electric utilities nationwide has left security loopholes that can be fairly easily exploited by hackers," said Michael Dubose of risk-management firm Kroll. He said China and Russia have already hacked the U.S. power grid on several occasions.
