PepsiCo has paid a reported $9 million to settle a court case that claimed the company wrongly labeled its Naked Juice product line as "all natural." The "natural" label has previously proven problematic for brands including Ben & Jerry’s and Nature Valley. "From a food science perspective, it is difficult to define a food product that is 'natural' because the food has probably been processed and is no longer the product of the earth," notes the Food and Drug Administration.
