Showtime has three pilots in the works: "Trending Down," a comedy series about an ad exec having a midlife crisis starring Philip Seymour Hoffman; "The Affair," with Dominic West and Ruth Wilson, about the impact of an extramarital relationship; and "The Vatican," with Kyle Chandler as a New York archbishop. Showtime also is prepping for the Sept. 29 debut of the third season of "Homeland," and the network is set to become the first premium channel to offer live programming via its "TV Everywhere" application.
