Adults who consumed two to four cups of coffee per day were about 50% less likely to commit suicide than non-coffee drinkers and those who drank very little coffee or decaffeinated coffee, according to an analysis of data from three large U.S. studies. "Overall, our results suggest there is little further benefit for consumption above two to three cups/day or 400 milligrams of caffeine/day," the study authors said. The findings appeared in the World Journal of Biological Psychiatry.
