Eighty percent of chief information officers are worried about unseen costs when it comes to cloud computing, including backup and recovery, unauthorized services and storage requirements, according to a white paper by Research in Action for Compuware. CIOs are also worried about poor user experience, a loss of revenue due to service outages and the need to troubleshoot issues, the report said. Yet cloud spending remains a top priority. "With cloud adoption topping the list of priorities for CIOs, companies are clearly seeing a benefit to the agility, flexibility and time-to-value that cloud services can deliver," said Compuware's Bernd Greifeneder.
