According to the coalition, which is behind the Petition Against Passwords campaign, in today's heightened threat environment, the standard network password is no longer an adequate measure for protecting critical data because it is too easily breached. The group is calling for new "passwordless" authentication methods that put less responsibility in the hands of end users.
