Startup WigWag said it has developed a sensory device for home networks that allows smartphone-linked appliances to communicate with and activate one another through plug-ins that can anticipate users' needs. "You don’t want a smartphone app for every device in your house. There’s only a limited amount of value to come out of smart control. What we’re trying to do is interlink each device’s super protocols," company founder Ed Hemphill said.
