A federal court in New Orleans ruled against BP's latest bid to block the settlement payments of claims related to the 2010 Gulf of Mexico oil spill, saying the probe on alleged anomalies at Alabama's claims assistance center did not produce "any credible evidence of fraud." The court also refused to accept claims that BP's ability to appeal was tarnished since "at least two appeal panelists had apparent conflicts of interest," as the firm said. "None of the claims represented by the firms of two of the panelists have been approved, paid or appealed," said Judge Carl Barbier.
