DISH Network Chairman Charlie Ergen said Monday that his company has a number of strategic options including trying to acquire T-Mobile US, partner with Sprint, buy up LightSquared's wireless assets or merge with rival DIRECTV. "I think in an ironic sort of way Sprint becomes an interesting potential partner for us," Ergen said after DISH reported earnings. DISH, which failed in its efforts to buy Sprint and Clearwire, holds valuable wireless spectrum. Ergen said T-Mobile remained the satellite provider's sole acquisition opportunity but pointed to the difficult challenges of such a move.
