A near-intact massive frieze of human figures in a mythological setting as been uncovered in the buried Mayan city of Holmul in Guatemala. "It's 95% preserved. There's only one corner that's not well-preserved because it's too close to the surface, but the rest of it isn't missing any parts," said Maya archaeologist Francisco Estrada-Belli, whose team discovered the frieze in July.
