A bill that would bar federal regulation of hydraulic fracturing cleared the House Natural Resources Committee on a 23-15 vote. "Hydraulic fracturing has been effectively regulated by the states for decades, and BLM's attempts to regulate hydraulic fracturing at the federal level only add more red tape and unnecessary burdens that will ultimately harm our energy security," said Rep. Bill Flores, R-Texas, the bill's sponsor.
