Multiple myeloma patients whose monoclonal protein levels were declining 100 days after autologous stem cell trans­planta­tion survived longer overall and without disease progression, Mayo Clinic researchers found. The presence of lgG-type M proteins and myeloma cell levels of 3% or lower were linked with future continued response, according to the retrospective analysis in the journal Blood.
