A $3.5 billion, three-phase project to relieve congestion and improve Interstate 70 Mountain Corridor in Colorado has been unveiled by Parsons Corp, which submitted the idea unsolicited to the state Department of Transportation. The public-private partnership would include construction of tolled express lanes, straightening of curves, the addition of a bus system and resurfacing. Parsons and CDOT are in discussions to see if they "can agree on a plan."
