U.S. small businesses added 82,000 jobs in July, capping a six-month span that saw job growth at companies with 49 or fewer workers nearly double, according to ADP. Additionally, small-business borrowing and franchise sales are on the rise, signs that point to a healthier economy. "There is still a healthy enough middle class to support growth," said Firehouse Subs CEO Don Fox.
