More than 60% of students who begin at community colleges and then transfer to four-year schools ultimately graduate, according to a new report from the National Student Clearinghouse. The U.S. Department of Education has reported that only 18% of community-college students finish their two-year degrees within three years, however, the new report suggests the percentage of community-college students who go on to complete their education is higher.
