U.S. alcoholic beverage drinkers are increasingly opting for wine and spirits over beer, according to a new Gallup poll that compares current data to statistics from 1992-1994. The youngest consumers, those 18-to-29, show the biggest move away from beer toward wine and cocktails. The trend doesn't seem to be hurting craft brewers, whose sales rose 17% last year, according to the Brewers Association.
