Citing privacy concerns, half of teenage mobile users have avoided installing an application, according to a Pew survey. And while nearly 60% have downloaded an app, 26% have gone so far as to uninstall one that they believed was collecting personal data that they found intrusive. Pew also found that 78% of those aged 12-17 own a cellphone while 23% have a tablet. Younger teens were almost as likely to download an app as those in the 14-17 age group.
