Using an anatomically correct model of a winged dinosaur and a wind tunnel, researchers are gathering clues about how the creatures adapted to flight. Scientists at the University of Southampton created a microraptor, a two-footed dinosaur that had feathers on its arms, legs and tail, and showed that it could gain lift from its feathered appendages to glide up to 110 yards.
