As more companies move to bring-your-own-device, enterprise IT administrators are being forced to confront a surge in the amount of malware designed to target smartphones and tablets, but security experts say malicious code may be the least of their problems. According to Juniper Networks' Troy Vennon and Symantec's Con Mallon, a lack of knowledge about how employees are using their devices and what they are putting on them is like playing Russian roulette with corporate data. "You can only secure what you know about, so knowing what you have walking around your enterprise is important," Mallon said.
